Details
Re-experience one of the glories of the St. John's program- the "St. Mathew Passion." Thanks to Susanna Beiser, A84, the  chapter is invited to attend the dress rehearsal of the Cathedral Choral Society's presentation of J. S. Bach's sublime oratorio, conducted by J. Reilly Lewis. Susanna sings second soprano in the 180-voice group, as does another Johnny, Lori Kurtyka, AGI99. The CCS is the resident symphonic chorus of the Washington National Cathedral, and the oldest choral group in Washington, D. C.

We will meet for a quick dinner before the rehearsal. If people are interested, we can have a mini-seminar on the work over dinner (a study guide will be available).

Concert Registration: The Cathedral requires that we provide a list of attendees, so you must sign up. E-mail Deborah Papier at the email address listed above by Friday, February 12th with the names of the people in your party.

Optional Dinner: If you will join us for the pre-concert meal, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. at a restaurant to be determined within a five-minute walk of the Cathedral, please so indicate in your email. Also indicate if you would like to have a semi-formal discussion at the restaurant in preparation for the concert, or would prefer to keep the dinner purely social.

Logistics: Information on parking, Cathedral security, etc., will be sent to you after you register.
